Broadcast on the program “Only A Game.” Becoming a big-time NCAA sports school has its advantages and its drawbacks. The same can be said for keeping your school’s sports program small-time. A look at what goes into the decision, looking at the basketball programs at Georgetown and Catholic Universities. In 1982, the year Georgetown made the NCAA Final Four for the first time in 40-odd years, Catholic decided to leave Division I and become a Division III school.
